Welcome back to all those who are returning from their well earned vacations. Congratulations to all those entering a new school, going to a new grade or coming out into the working world for the first time.

Traditionally, September has been a time for renewed optimism and vigour. Let's put some of that into our photo project. People have been enjoying the images. Please make yours one of them.

July Photo Project Update

It’s been one month since the photo displays began. The displays have grown beyond the original goal of identifying birthday and anniversary observers to include a Father’s Day tribute, highlighting individuals within organisations (retired civil servants) and adding a face to accompany funeral announcements.

For the most part, the displays have been well received.

Please remember that the media team can only display photos if we receive them. Even if your birthday or anniversary was earlier this year, or if it is later this year, the team appreciates getting the photos now.

Keep on sending in those photos!

Communicating With Your Photo

Someone said that a picture is worth a thousand words. I realise after posting the photo submission guidelines that some revision is necessary, so here goes.

We still need a clear photo in which you are recognizable. However, if you are doing something special, e.g., receiving an award, hosting a conference, serving on the altar, or whichever other activity that helps define you, go ahead and send them in. It's all about fellowship and getting to know each other. We are also adjusting the guidelines to include younger photos of yourself. If you are still easily recognized, the media team will gladly accept it.

Please keep those photos coming.

June Update - Spread the Word

So...

Last month (May) the first of the birthday/anniversary photos were shown. These were well-received. So far, a few persons have promised to send in their images. Those who know about the project are enthusiastic; however, it seems several people are still unaware of  how to get their photos published.

Those of you who read this blog will know, from the previous post, about the various methods the Media Team uses to get photos.Please help us spread the word.

Getting Your Photos Displayed

Here is how we will be able to get your photos.

1. Submit a hard copy to Sandra Morgan Crawford or any member of the media team, or at the church office. We will scan and return your photos within two weeks.
2.  E-mail your photo to transfigmedia@gmail.com
3.  If you need us to take a photo for you, fill out the request form available from:

• Sandra, or
• the church office, or
• online

Photo Guidelines

• Please submit clear, recent photos in which you are easily recognizable. 
• Head shots or upper body photos are preferable. 
• Make sure you identify the subject in the photo.
• Please send/write a contact number and an e-mail address as well so that we can contact you if we need to.
